The Few, The Proud, The Hanger's On. #BB17

They've been hanging on a cliff for almost two hours now.

The rain pours down and James stands quietly.

He squats down to rest his legs, and is even able to stick them out straight in front of him.

Shelli's hurting, but she's still hanging.

Jackie hung on as long as she could.

Becky's down, and everyone cheers for her.  She did a great job.

She doesn't want a towel now, she says.  She still feels hot from hanging on so long, even though the rain was so cold.

Jackie's chest has a red mark on it, and might even be open skin.  Meg thought it was paint, but Jackie saiys it was those damn birds.

Clay is down now, and the crowd applauds his efforts.

His hands are messed up---I think he has some big blisters on them.

Meg:  This looks easier on TV.

Shelli, James and Johnny Mac are the only ones left.  I'm surprised Johnny Mac is fighting so hard.  Does he need to win now that there is no BoB?

He must want someone out really, really bad.

Clinging to the Edge of the Cliff. Still Hanging in There. #BB17.

Shelli and Clay are lucky to be next to each other, because they can talk to each other easily with encouragement and tips.

Clay is an athlete and that is a benefit, even if he is the wrong size for this competition.  He says his shirt feels warm once the rain stops.

I don't hear anyone talking about Julia being an official house guest yet.  I guess the whole Twin concept is old news by now. If I were Meg, I'd start trying to make a new friend.

James isn't talking as much, but he's still in the running.

Johnny Mac is alone on his part of the cliff, now that Steve and Austin and Meg have fallen.  The seagulls swoop in and hover, stalking their prey.

Becky laughs.  I think they can clearly see the guy on the roof whose job tonight is to man the attack birds, so they see it coming.

And here come those nasty birds...WHACK WHACK WHACK...six times in a row.  One of the birds has someone's make up on him, and Meg laughs about the "make up bird".  Austin says the Beefcakes are getting a lot of pleasure out of this.

Then another rainstorm.  And more tilting. The house guests still on the wall, and in the running for HoH are Liz, Clay, Shelli, James, Jackie, Becky and John.

Sometimes I get used to Clay like you would a brother or co-worker.  Then I see him in action and I am like damn, that is one good looking man.

The machinery cranks and Vanessa offers words of encouragement as the cliff goes further into a tilt.. Julia cheers them on, too, as the angle becomes sharper and everyone digs in, breathing and probably hating life.  The sound of water dripping is very loud.

The crowd watches, cheering on Liz and the others.  Meg even cheered loudly for Liz, if you can believe that.

The wall started to straighten up and then tilted again.  The crowd cheered loudly, telling them to hang on, they can do it, it will straighten up soon.

Jackie dropped.  I'm surprised.

They're cold and wet and trying to hang on.

Liz fell.  She's down.

It's a Cliffhanger, All Right. #BB17

They are wet and cold.  Teeth are chattering.  Some of the house guests talk, and some of them don't.  James is making constant patter and jokes.  Austin is already hating life and complaining softly to himself, saying "dammit", and "fuck".

They've been splattered with something that is probably meant to resemble bird poop.  Everyone is still hanging in there.  I'm proud of them.

Shelli's got her game face on.  That tough part of her is going to come in handy tonight.

I think that hoodie is going to be tough for Steve in the long run, if it is made out of cotton.

This twin isn't getting splattered too much.  I think it is Julia.  She's being very quiet, suffering in silence.

The birds swoop in and slap the house guests with a loud THUMP.

The machinery behind the wall clanks and they wall tilts forward at a sharp angle.  Everyone breathes hard and you can hear the pain in the way they all stop talking.

Steve falls.

Austin falls.

Vanessa comes over and points out the hand placement of Jackie, who shows no sign of fatigue yet, but Austin points out he's too tall for that.

That's why it's a short person's game tonight.

Steve is a quiet loser, sitting off to the side.  I saw him struggle when the wall tilted..he just doesn't have the bicep strength for that.

But maybe he threw it......

Meg is down now, along with Julia.  Steve greets her by calling her Liz before he is corrected.

Meg struggles to climb up the the waiting area...she doesn't have her glasses on and there is "bird crap" in her eyes.

Meg:  I can't see!

Vanessa helps her to safety and hands her a towel.

Jackie is still going strong, and Becky sounds like she's got a lot of time left in her, too.

Shelli says she is freezing, and the Have Not shower will seem warm after this.
