Frankie Wants Zach to Give Him a "Ring and a Bouquet" #BB16

And Frankie says he's "never been as excited about anything in his entire life".

Bitch, please.  Obviously he knows Zach has stolen his spotlight.  Or maybe Frankie realizes that his options are limited now that he has gained nearly 30 pounds.

I hope Zach gives Frankie the cold shoulder, and maybe a good shove.

You can read the entire article in Entertainment Weekly here.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You kind of led the charge to hitting the Rewind button that wiped out your entire week as HOH. Now that you’ve experienced the results and were sent packing, do you regret it?FRANKIE GRANDE: I don’t regret pushing the button because as a Big Brother super fan, there was no option — the button was going to be pushed. I’m happy I led the charge too. The only thing I regret is not winning the HOH again.
How would you describe your feelings over the fact that Victoria lasted longer in this game than you did?I’m at peace with it. Victoria’s road in the house, though unburdened by any gaming or strategy, has been a difficult one for her. I have to give her props for lasting as long as she did without any major psychotic break. Also, I completely understand the strategy of bringing along somebody you can beat to the end of the game.
Do you think revealing that Ariana Grande was your sister hurt you in the game or helped you? Or did it make no difference whatsoever?I believe that timing is everything, and the time I chose to reveal my true identity and who my family really is was not only perfect but necessary. I had hit rock bottom and I knew that for me to continue on in this game, I had to do something drastic. I ultimately went from going home, to one of the last men standing. So yes, I think it helped.
Had you made it to the end, whom were you planning to bring with you?  Derrick.  Team America until the end even though I know wholeheartedly he did not reciprocate those feelings.
How do you think you would have done had you made the finals? Is there anyone you could or could not beat?I think I would have won.  Period.
What was your best moment in this game? Winning the football Battle of the Block by yourself?Obviously, I’m extremely proud of my BOB solo victory. But I will say the best moment in the house for me was winning that Zingbot veto and having Kathy Griffin put the veto around my neck. I admire that woman a lot and what she stands for.
Anyone that does not win this game will have a regret or something they wish they could go back in time and change. What’s your biggest regret?Trusting Caleb. Period. I should have known that if I was able to manipulate him so easily, someone else would have figured it out and use it against me. And looking back it should have been either him or Derrick sitting next to Victoria in my last HOH, not Cody.
Finally, what becomes of Zankie now that you are about to be reunited with Zach in the Jury house?
I’ve never been more excited about anything in my entire life. I’m hoping he’s waiting there with a ring and a bouquet. If he asked me to marry him, I’d say yes! I’m walking into the jury house with my ‘Team Zach’ shirt.

Live Show Aftermath #BB16

Right after the live show ended, the Final Three immediately started getting dressed out for the upcoming HoH competition.  They knew it would be a physical competition, so they started lacing up shoes, and getting ready for it.

I expected Victoria to be a hot mess after the live show, when Cody made his speech to Caleb about The Hitmen  alliance with Derrick, particularly when they cracked upon that bottle of champagne.

But they didn't even finish their first glass, because they knew that the competition was coming up.

(Derrick knew about Cody's speech beforehand...he was not blindsided by The Hitmen disclosures, despite what you may hear on some fact-plagued podcasts.)

Derrick and Cody were so excited about being so close to their goal, but tried to keep it under wraps a little in front of Victoria.  And Cody was fretting over evicting Caleb...he kept bringing up Caleb's name and saying Caleb would hate him for sending him home.

Derrick was really impressed that the Producer Rich Meehan was on the set last night and spoke to them on the intercom.  We didn't get to hear that, of course, but he must have said some nice things to them because Derrick kept bringing it up....talking about Rich "chilling and kicking back, watching".

They gathered in the living room to wait, and then they started munching through a bag of snacks as Cody started telling Victoria all the things she didn't know about each week of the game.  He told her about the alliances other people made that didn't work, and how people tried to turn on them but got caught.

Derrick joined in a little bit, and Victoria seemed to enjoy all of this.   Cody told her that Donny and Hayden wanted a Final Three deal with him.  Derrick told Victoria that Zach always tried to talk shit about her but he tried to shut it down and knew it would hurt her.

Derrick thinks Frankie will be really nasty to Caleb when he joins the Jury, mocking his idea that he was king of the house this summer.  Both he and Cody hate the thought of that, probably imagining the horror of having to go through that themselves.

(In actuality, neither Frankie nor Caleb will ever go to the Jury House.  For Finale week everyone gets moved to a hotel and the Jury segments are taped on the CBS lot.  There is a picture floating around now of that set, with the little fireplace area and everything.  Anyway the two of them won't really get the pleasure and relaxation of the Jury House experience.  They will just sit and stew sitting alone most of the time, still with no phone or internet hookup.)

Victoria was mocking the name of their alliance, but ended up saying she kind of liked it.

Derrick:  Just be glad a contract never came up with your name on it!

Victoria shared something with them, too, telling them that Brittany told her a long time ago that if she stuck with Derrick and Cody, then she would be the last girl in the house.  Cody was happy to hear that.

Derrick:  I think Brittany had a crush on you...

Cody:  But she doesn't now...

Derrick:  Oh no..not now.  But she did then.

Derrick did some stretching.  Everyone on the internet keeps talking about Derrick's bald spot.  I guess you can see a "balding spot" here, but really so what?  As Derrick himself would say, he's a grown ass man.

And grown ass men lose their hair.  Most of them, anyway, in some manner. I find Derrick extremely physically appealing, but Derrick doesn't get by on his looks in real life.  He is as smart and capable on the job as he has been in the BB house this summer.

But if Cody were to start getting a big bald spot on the back of his head, now that would be a crisis.  And bad haircuts like this one only prove that point, unfortunately.

When they popped the champagne at the end of the live show, the cork went flying up and Derrick wanted to get it. (For a souvenir I guess, because you certainly can't shove those champagne corks back in the bottle.)

Big Brother told Derrick to Stop That! so he started to get down.  Then he spotted the cork up on a landing spot and asked if he could go up there and get it.

Derrick:  I promise not to hurt myself.

BB:  ***crickets***

As soon as Derrick got up on the counter again to retrieve the cork, BB told him to get down, but it was too late and they all knew it.

Derrick wanted the cork and he got the cork.  And then he jumped down on the ground with a flourish.

Last year we got to see the first part of the HoH competition on line, so I waited around for awhile on the live feeds and ended up getting to watch it.

You can see my coverage of that here, and here.

After the competition,  And Cody drank the rest of the bottle of champagne an hour so later, after he won the first part of the HoH competition.  The bubbles were long gone by then, but Cody tried to shake the bottle up first.

But champagne doesn't work that way, of course.  But he drank it flat.  I'm sure it still tasted like victory.

Which Losers Gained the Most? #BB16

I feel like CBS kind of dropped the ball this summer with the whole "Fitness Tracker" situation.  Not only did they not get the program sponsored by FitBit, but they really only used it to determine who the Have Nots were for one week in the game.

But on the CBS website, they have been reporting the weight of each house guest when they came into the game, and when they left.

And that is something I find interesting.

I've always thought that men tend to lose weight in the Big Brother house, probably due to the severe shortage of beer in there, along with the lack of alcohol-related high calorie foods like chicken wings, french fries, etc.  And women seem to do a lot of emotional eating in the Big Brother house and end up leaving the house a few pounds heavier.  You know, like Janelle in BB6 with the ice cream, and Jordan in BB11 with the cookie dough, and even Diane from BB5 with all of that hummus.

(In BB4 Jun Song entered the house looking fabulous in a pleated cheerleader-type skirt, and as the game wore on she just kept snacking....and snacking....and snacking...)

Joey came in the BB16 house at 139, and left the house at the same weight.  But Paola went in the house at 97 pounds, and left at 91 pounds, even after eating all of that bacon.  That is 6% of her body weight that she lost...and that is significant.

Amber and Jocosta both lost weight, too.  But Brittany gained some weight, which was discussed quite a bit in the house after she left.  She may have been a Have Not for several weeks of her stay in the house, but she still managed to gain 10 pounds in there, an 8% increase in body weight.

Let's look a a few of the more recent evictees, and how their weight fared in the house.

Donny, Nicole, and Christine all lost weight in the house.  I think all three of them were stressed out in there, and Nicole and Donny certainly did hard time in the Have Not room.  Donny did walk around every morning and do a few minutes on the elliptical trainer, but the girls only got sporadic exercise this summer.

So let's get to the fun part.  The juicy part, shall we?

I'm already on record discussing Zach's weight gain over the summer.  He clocked out fifteen pounds heavier than he arrived, nearly a 10% increase in body weight.  But Zach is tall, so that weight is a little easier to hide than it would be for a shorty like Nicole.

But what about Frankie, who was constantly making critical comments about Zach's weight gain?  Comments such as "I was attracted to Zach, but that was about 15 pounds ago".

Well, there's a reason why all of Frankie's shorts were so tight.  Honestly he could barely walk in those tired denim shorts in the last week of the game.  He had to waddle like a penguin because he could hardly move. Even his comfortable "house clothes" were tight.

Frankie gained a whopping 29 pounds...a 21% increase in body weight!
Maybe it was the constant consumption of mayonnaise Frankie was perpetually stirring into his G.D. fish salads....or the nightly cookie baking.....or the sloppy open-mouthed salty snack munching.

Or maybe it's because Frankie is well into his 30's, and his metabolism just can't take all of that eating anymore.

I think most of us would hate to have our ages and weights broadcast on a TV show.  But hey, this is Frankie J. Grande we're talking international social media mogul.

Or as the CBS announcer describes him, Ariana's brother.

I know Frankie thinks he is headed to Celebrity Apprentice next, but maybe Celebrity Fit Club on VH1 would be a better place for him. It would be easy to be a big fish in that small pond.
