Congrats to Dani and Dominic

Today was indeed the big day, after all.  I had heard the rumors, but I didn't want to spread them unless it was for real.

Daniele Donato and Dominic Briones were married today in California.  We all watched them meet and fall in love on BB13.  Dreams really do come true.

There is a wedding party photo posted all over the internet today----the wedding guests included Adam Poch, Rachel Reilly, Brendon Villegas, Eric Stein, Porsche Briggs...well, see it for yourself.  I don't know who took the picture, but Rachel tweeted it earlier today.

Yes, Rachel wore that dress to a wedding.

Someone also put wedding photos in a You Tube video that is getting spread around, but I think those are old pictures that were posted months ago when Dani and Dominic posed for a wedding website.  I don't think those are the pictures from today's event, but of course I could be wrong.

No, Dick was not invited, but somehow managed to make it all about him.  Of course.

And this tweet was from Dom, earlier today.

Best wishes for the happy couple.  Who isn't a sucker for a good love story?

***UPDATE***  Dick didn't buy them "everything on their registry from Macy's and Crate + Barrel".  I just peeked at the Crate + Barrel registry and they are doing very well, but there are still items that have not been purchased yet.  I guess I'm not surprised.  It's Evel Dick, after all.

Is Mike Boogie Partying with Former Olympians?

TMZ is running a story today about Michael Phelps chugging champagne straight from the bottle.  I think the bigger story is that porn 'stache, actually.

But take a look at that picture in the top left---that's Mike Boogie, right?  Chillin' poolside with Phelps in the Bahamas?

After all, we've all seen that madras plaid cap before...

Jeff and Jordan Make a DietBet

You probably know by now that Jeff and Jordan are involved with something called DietBet.  I just listened to them explain it on an Los Angeles-based news show and I can't say that  I really understand it.

Apparently you pay $50 to join the program, and then if you lose 4% of your body weight than you get to split the money with the other participants who also lost their weight.  To me, that kind of indicates that if you lose your weight, you would get back at least what you put in, but I'm not sure that is the case.

They didn't mention being on Big Brother, but the newscaster said we probably know them from The Amazing Race.  (Big Brother is very picky about mentioning their show, apparently.)

Newscaster, to Jordan:  You don't look like you need to lose weight...

Jordan:  I'm sittin' down!

Jordan tried to explain the program and was then assisted by Jeff, who came in to save the day. Jeff is actually very natural on camera and was persuasive.  I still think he'd be a good ESPN talking head someday.  Someday soon, because nobody's getting any younger, are they?

While Jeff explained the program, we saw some footage of the two of them scarfing down some food on The Amazing Race.  Some nasty food, I'm guessing.  Whenever you have a TAR Roadblock or Detour that involves food, you can assume you aren't being served Chocolate Glazed Donuts.  Just sayin'... (Although I do remember that on one of the final legs of TAR, the team had to eat an entire deep dish Chicago pizza.  Now, that's a lot of food, but it wasn't like it was covered with cockroaches or anything..)

We learned that Jordan's weight loss goal is 5.5 pounds, which would put her at 137 pounds right now.  I think Jeff said his goal was 8 pounds, which would clock him in as a 200-pounder.

The newscaster asked Jeff how DietBet will prevent people from gaming the system to get paid by DietBet.  Jeff had an answer for that, of course.  I think this whole thing is kind of cheesy, but if they are getting paid for this I certainly understand.  You've gotta do what you've gotta do to get paid.

As far as losing weight and being healthier, I think you should start eating less meat, and more fruits and vegetables.  I try not to preach about being a vegetarian, but it is good for you and good for the planet.  And certainly kinder to animals.  Try Meatless Monday, at the very least and you will see what it does for you.

Jenn City May Be in Your City (or small town) #Wintour2013

Jenn City is tweeting this out--she's going on what looks to be a very fast-paced tour.  I'm not clear if she's playing, or just "hosting".

She's coming to my neighborhood.  Soon.  You can google your town and the tour to find specifics and how to buy tickets.  Prices seem to be very reasonable.  At first I thought the tour was affiliated with the editor of Vogue, but I guess not.

I'll tell you what....I might go....

I'm not a head banger, but I feel like I know Jenn after watching her all summer.   What would I wear to a show like this?  Any ideas?

Big Brother Canada - Why Are We All Still in the Dark? #BBCanada

So, if you are a Big Brother fan, you know that the first edition of Big Brother Canada will premiere next month.  But we still don't know how we will be able to watch, or if we will be able to watch here in the United States.

The show is airing on Canada's Slice network.  As best I can tell, the Slice Network is a channel programmed for women, and seems to play all of the Real Housewives series that we all know and love (to hate), as well as their own Real Housewives of Vancouver series.  They also show Project Runway episodes, and other reality series like "Bulging Brides" and "I Do, Let's Eat". (No, I'm not making this up.)

It seems that Big Brother Canada plans to follow the US format, with three episodes airing in "prime time" each week on the network.  But they will also feature a Big Brother After Dark series, airing for three hours each evening.  But the Canadian version appears to be airing only on the Slice network, and is not affiliated with Showtime, apparently.  I found this on the Slice network.

It does sort of indicate that the videos will be available online, but don't quote me on that.  I'm just reading what I found on the website.

Why isn't Big Brother Canada letting us know how we can watch the show?  Don't they want our viewership?  Surely they know we have a lot of eyeballs down here.....why are we all still in the dark on this?

WTF Big Brother Canada?  Where is your publicity team?
