Fight! Fight! Slay or Be Slayed. #BB17

OK.  There was a lot of tension building up, and this afternoon things blew up.  I think one of the catalysts may have been Audrey listening in at the door during this conversation.  At one point the cameras even showed us Audrey on the other side of the door, while Vanessa and Da'Vonne were talking.

So after the big HoH photo shoot, Audrey summoned Da'Vonne to the Have Not room to meet with her.   (Who would have thought that so much action would take place in a dental office?  And that people would want to gather there?  Crazy...)

And you're going to see this on the CBS show, so don't worry.  It's hard to really convey everything that happened, but you'll see it all.  Don't worry.

Basically Audrey wanted to confront Day for stabbing her in the back.  And Audrey was waving her arms around like she always does.  I find it rather distracting because it seems to be one of those ultra-feminine gestures that none of the other girls do with regularity.

Da'Vonne uses her hands as well, of course.  I don't think Audrey was ready for all of this.

At one point Audrey was ready to "swear on the Bible" that she was telling the truth and that was almost too much for Day to take.  (She didn't even like Jace holding a Bible when he was cursing, and told him so early this morning.)

Vanessa entered the room and said she wanted to change clothes.  But then she read the tone in the room, and decided to get into the conversation.  She asked about the all girl alliance rumor that Audrey started about her.  Then Audrey brought up some comment about the "all black" alliance because a bunch of girls were wearing black.

Audrey blamed both of these comments on Day, but Day wasn't gonna take that.  Hell no.

Day asked Audrey point blank if she was the one who started the rumor about the girl's alliance.

Audrey:  I told her what came out of your mouth...yes,

Da'Vonne laughed and stood up, looked at the cameras and said firmly "Game on", and turned to leave the room.  Then she turned around and said she was glad that Vanessa came in the room, because Audrey had just lied and told her that she'd never done anything negative to her in this game.

Audrey kept blaming everything on everybody else, so Da'Vonne told Vanessa to "go get Jace". Vanessa wasn't about to leave that room, so Da'Vonne left and maybe she went to find Jace, but all of these people filed in silently, one by one.

I know Audrey wasn't ready for this.

When everybody was in the room, Vanessa asked the group if Audrey was the one who said she was a mastermind who was starting the girl's alliance.  Someone in the room confirmed this and Vanessa said "fuck you then" for telling that lie.

Jason jumped in with both feet, like a little Chihuahua, but a fierce one, yelling that all of the distrust and negativity was caused by Audrey.

Da'Vonne is looking fierce, and is calm and articulate, even though she is clearly mad as hell.  This is her moment, and she's taking it.

Slay, girl slay. We've got your back.

All of the guys looked just like this during the fight (except Jason), but I think we can benefit best by just looking at Clay.  We don't need to see a close up of James or Jeff.  And I don't think Steve and John were even invited.

Da'Vonne:  Your shit has hit the fan, point blank and period.

Audrey:  Well, I guess time will tell.

Da'Vonne:  Time will tell.  And I need to leave out of here before I crack her in the face.

Da'Vonne stalks out, and most of the people leave with her.  She threw the mic and left the damn stage.  That's the way you do it, folks.

It Takes a Lot of Work to Make it Look Easy #BB17

There was a lot of trouble brewing behind the scenes during the HoH picture hour.  Big drama, and also confusion as well. For one thing, at least half of these house guests had no freaking idea why they had a camera, or that the HoH had social media opportunities.

So they may have seen the TV show, but they didn't seem to venture much into the online arena.

James wanted to end the hour-long photo session with a group photo by the pool.  You'd think Richard Avedon or Annie Leibovitz was going to show up with a camera crew, the way everyone was scrambling around, getting ready for the picture. You'd think no one was sitting at home with an online camera, watching every moment of every day.

(Every now and then, I realize how creepy this whole thing is.)

Anyway, Becky is getting ready for the photo shoot.  She's not someone who spends a lot of time in front of the makeup mirror, though.

But these girls are --Shelli, Meg, Jackie, Da'Vonne and yes, Jason.

Shelli is wearing Vanessa's shirt that she got from hosting the BoB competition.  Everyone is excited about it and says it is nice to wear something different.  Jason had the same shirt, but after he got splashed with paint (or whatever) after his nominated team won the competition, he says the shirt was ruined.

Shelli: Do you think they can clean it for you?

Jason:  I don't know.  I just gave it back to them in a garbage bag.

Someone should do a swimsuit count for Jackie this summer.  I don't know how long she will be in the house this year, but  I'll bet she'll keep rolling out the new swimwear options for a long time.

Hi Meg.  Andy Herren is already penciling you in as his new best friend.  Actually, he is.

They assembled for a few group shots, including one with the girls.  Vanessa and Shelli are the bookends, wearing real clothes. Meg is in the middle with the green dress.  I guess it would be hard to be in a Jackie - Becky bikini sandwich, no matter how cute you are.

I think Audrey skipped the photo session.  She had enough problems to deal with at the time.  It looks like Da'Vonne did, too.  She knew the crap was about to hit the fan, and some of it would splash on her.

It's Time to Talk About Vanessa Again #BB17

Right in the middle of the HoH picture fun, the cameras abruptly shift to the Have Not room, where Vanessa is emoting with Shelli.  I felt lost, but now I think I've put it all together for you.

Apparently the minor issue is that Vanessa was upset about something and approached Shelli to talk this morning.  Shelli brushed her off and Vanessa is very hurt by this.

Vanessa:  I could see it!  You didn't want to be bothered by me! You treated me just like you treat Steve....you didn't care to deal with me at all. I'm so hurt..

Shelli:  Vanessa! Listen to me!  This is so vain, this is so vain, but I have to tell you.  I had a horrible night, and big bags under my eyes, and here it is, probably the biggest moment in Big Brother so far for me, and I just wanted to put on my makeup!

Shelli:  I swear!  I have to admit it! I have nothing but trust with you!  I was just having a bad moment and didn't want to be on camera looking like that!

Vanessa:  Okay.  But I'm the most clueless person in the game...I'm just hiding out in this room and all of a sudden everyone thinks I'm the mastermind?

Now I start to catch on to the major issue...it's that same old rumor about Vanessa being in an All Girl's Alliance.  Except apparently Jeff told Vanessa that Day was the one who told everyone about it, and this is upsetting to Vanessa.  She thought she could trust Da'Vonne, and they were becoming friends.

Vanessa's word is her bond, and she's nothing but trustworthy, and it's so hard to live in a place like this house, where that means nothing.

Da'Vonne came in and you could see the attitude when she saw Shelli and Vanessa were talking.

Vanessa, whispering:  I just want to ask her...right now.

Shelli:  Okay.

Vanessa called Da'Vonne over and asked if she heard the rumor about Vanessa being in an all girls alliance.

Day, rather coldly:  Yes.  It was brought to me.

Vanessa:  Oh.  Okay.  So it was true.  Because I didn't think it was true...that you knew about it.  Because I heard about that from someone, but I don't want to say who.

Day:  WAS IT AUDREY?

Day says Audrey is the one who told her about the girls alliance, but at first Vanessa wasn't even mentioned.  Her name was added later to the list.

Vanessa:  But did you believe it?

Day:  No.  Because I wasn't in it!  And I said from the first day that I wanted an all girls alliance, so if there was one I think someone would have asked me.

Vanessa:  And the funny thing is that they said I was in the alliance with people I never talk to!  Like Jackie, Liz and Becky!

Day:  Well, if you had a question about it, you could have asked me.

Vanessa:  But I gave her my word that I wouldn't.  And I keep my word.  My word is good.

Day:  Well, I've had it up to here with it.  Because I heard from Meg and Jason that everybody is just waiting for me to explode, so I'm not gonna do it.

(Da'Vonne is so cold with these girls.  She obviously doesn't like Vanessa.  But why?  If you wanted a girl's alliance, it seems like she would be a key person to have on your side, right?  I hate it when my favorite house guests don't like each other. )

***ALSO***

This is a picture of James poking his head in the Have Not room, where Vanessa was in the middle of telling Da'Vonne that she used to be a professional gambler, before she was a DJ.

Vanessa was explaining the various gambling money-making options to Day, who was saying "uh huh" like she was learning new information.  A few points I remember:

*  Vanessa explained that the "1 and 2" tables were a good place for her to play and make money to pay a bill if she needed quick money, but the "4 and 5" tables were riskier since the players were so much better.

*  She said the casinos have a 51% chance of winning, and if you learn how the system works in order to shave 1% off that, the casino can detect that and they have the right to prevent you from playing if they want to, since they are private companies. (ie. the poker dealers like Da'Vonne can detect that)

*  Vanessa has friends who wear disguises to play, but that is pretty radical to her.

*  She said she didn't really like to play poker, because the risk was too high.

*  She said that the atmosphere as a gambler is kind of depressing, because you're indoors all of the time and it's just not healthy.  She was usually the only woman and she felt like she had so much more to contribute to society, so she stopped doing it.

I have to say that Vanessa did a great job diminishing her poker background.  It was clear to me that she knew that Day might be a poker dealer.  (Austin figured that out somehow and told Vanessa.)

This was a PERFECT time for Day to confide in Vanessa, or even to say that she wanted to talk to her later.  Vanessa would have been cool with that.  But now she's probably never going to trust Da'Vonne completely, right?

And get this:

Day even asked Vanessa if she ever considered becoming a poker dealer, because her grandfather told her that all of the good poker players could be good poker dealers.

Why didn't Da'Vonne tell the truth to Vanessa?  They could have made a really tight deal that would take them far in the game!

Why doesn't Da'Vonne like Vanessa?  Why Why Why?

I think Da'Vonne made a half million dollar error in this conversation, and it hurts me to say that.

Yay! Let's Take HoH Pictures! What are HoH Pictures? #BB17

I feel I must share that Austin uses a hair straightener.  But today it was too hot and he had a hard time getting the job done.

I mean, obviously.

Jeff brought Liz and Austin up to speed regarding last night's revelations about Audrey telling certain people that she was a psychic, and about all of her psychic premonitions about the game. (You can see that here.)

They scoffed and laughed about the absurdity of it all, and how it has disrupted the entire house and all of the relationships.

Jeff:  I have a premonition that is's going to be a five-flush day!

John sat quietly this morning, alone in the backyard.  Is he having fun so far this summer?  Frankly, it's hard to tell most of the time.

Jeff is cultivating Liz for an alliance, and tells her that the events of the last day have really boosted his standing in the house.  He feels like it has exposed him as being someone people can trust, and help him build credibility with several people.

He tells Liz to just stay calm, and that he needs to start separating himself from Clay.

Jeff:  Look, lots of people are looking at Clay right now...lots of people.  It's crazy how the people that you hang with can ruin your game and fuck you up.

Liz:  Believe me, I know.

James had to write his blog and now he has the camera for HoH pictures.  He tries to explain this to the house guests and it is just painful to watch.  He says it's for "the social media thing, with the blog and all, and we need to take selfies".

Jason: Oh, it's the HoH pictures.

So many house guests had NO IDEA what that was, so I guess that weekly tradition was not part of their Super Fandom.  Jeff had the biggest issue...Clay and Shelli immediately wanted to pose with him but he said he "looked like shit".

A few minutes later he said "you're taking them right now?", whining that he needed more time to get ready.  (Really, what is Jeff going to do to himself?  We've been looking at you 24/7 Jeff....you're on TV bro.)

James:  Oh no...I'm taking pictures of butt cheeks!

A few of the guys want pictures with Austin giving them fake wrestling punches.

James:  Whatever!  Do something crazy!   I only have an hour with the camera.

Jeff:  Mama's gotta go put her face on!  I'll come back all dolled up!

Audrey wasn't interested in posing...she was in bed, apparently.

These two don't need any further instruction.  They are both ready for selfies.

That is some group, huh?  It was funnier before Austin bent down, but I guess he's used to doing that in pictures.  Meg took the snap, by the way.

Liz:  Oh, it's so cute!

Austin:  We have to get one rocking out with Johnny Mac!

You can't see him from the camera angles I had on the live feeds, but Johnny is in between Austin and Clay, all playing air guitar.

Clay  We killed it!

Johnny:  Yeah!

Everyone was rushing around and Meg finished her snack.  I think she put cereal in her container of yogurt because it crunched when she ate it.

Shelli took the camera in the Have Not room and James came in for the pictures.  I think James thinks he needs to be in every single shot, since he's HoH.  (Fucking casuals.)

Vanessa:  Here, I'll take a selfie with you.

She had to bend down, too.  Way down, because he looks taller than her in the picture.   James wanted to look at all of the pictures but Day had other plans.

Da'Vonne:  C'mon James.  Hurry up.

Vanessa, laughing: Just do the damn thing.

James initially went to Day's other side, but she grabbed him by the shoulders and moved him, saying "this is my good side".  She bent down, too, to pose with Wee James.

Vanessa:  What is this for James?  Ha ha, I just went with it...I have no idea what it's for.

James did the whole painful explanation again...it's for social media blog, for a social media thing they want to do, and it's going to be on the internet...blah blah blah and painful blah.

Audrey sat up in bed but apparently doesn't want to play right now.

Outside, Jason explained the HoH blog concept to Austin and Liz.

Jason:  If I didn't like the HoH that week, I damn sure didn't read their blog.  I'm a skimmer.

Austin:  Yeah, I'm a skimmer too.

Liz:  Yeah.

(Is anyone shocked?)

Make sure you get a load of Jason's leopard print leggings.  They look like boy's (or girl's) PJ bottoms that are about a foot too short.  (No shade, just describing.)

Liz is wearing fake Ray Bans because she didn't want to bring good shades into the house. It sounds like Jackie already learned that lesson the hard way.  Austin got prescription shades for less than $40 from a website.

I actually like listening to Liz speak.  She has a strange cadence, and lingers on the last syllable of her sentences, almost like she's dragging it behind her.  I picture her words all tattered and frayed.

It's really hard to do what she and Julia are doing right now, so we should give them credit for it.  Even if everybody else is way too self-absorbed to really notice other people.  It's kind of an insult, isn't it?  That no one has really looked close enough to see how different the two sisters' faces are.

It seems like you'd spend your whole life trying to have a separate identity than your twin, and now this happens.

James says he looks fat taking pictures next to Steve.  (What about Clay, James?  Damn.  I'm sure you look chunky in those pictures, too)

James says he already wrote his HoH blog and it was inspiring.  (Don't worry, I'll post it here when it's available.  I'm sure they're still trying to decipher it in the Production office.)

Steve:  Gina Marie didn't really successfully communicate any of her ideas in her HoH blog.

James:  What do you mean?

(Ha ha ha ha.  Steve just won some points from me.  Here is the blog he is talking about.)

I'm sure Steve isn't expecting much from James' blog.  Steve did a remarkable job keeping a straight face and a closed mouth during a conversation with James yesterday.  James actually told him that the thing to aim for is to be the last member of the Jury, so you don't have to spend too much time in the Jury House.

Yes, he said that.  I'm sure Steve knows by now that most of the people he comes into contact with in life will be much, much less intelligent than he is.  He will need to learn to just go along and get along, so maybe this summer will be good practice.
