The Brigade Renew Their Bromance #BB14

I feel like this has been a long time coming..and now under the circumstances Evel Dick is making it happen.  He's opening this whole twitter dialogue with The Brigade in conjunction with the launch of Evel Dick's new summer endeavor.

Evel Dick is selling Early Bird access to his Dick-at-Nite podcasts this year and the price is right. I've been calling it the RTVZone but I'm not sure that is correct now that Dick has split with his business partner from last year.

Anyway, one of the exclusives Evel Dick is offering is an apparent first-time reunion of the The Brigade on one of the podcasts.  When you add that, a list of other Big Brother and genuine celebrities, and access to the Hantz family (Russell, Brandon, Shawn, Melanie) it could be the best bargain of the summer.  Evel Dick is very unfiltered, as you might guess, and you never know what you might hear on his podcasts.

Admission:  I am ashamed to be able to name four Hantz family members that easily and quickly.

Anyway, I am delighted to report that The Brigade showed up on Twitter tonight and gave us an exciting preview of what is before us....it's going to be a great summer for Big Brother fans.

Oh, and throw MTV's Mark Long into that mix as well.  Mmmmm.  Mark Long...... yummy....

PS:  Lane just got engaged.

Newbie Preview - Meet Frank Eudy, A Vicious Son #BB14

Meet Frank Eudy, one of the lucky newbies cast for Big Brother 14.  This is a recap of a SuperPass interview which is exclusive to their website.  Just a few days left to order SuperPass at the Early Bird price of $29.99 for three months.  That should be long enough for the entire Big Brother season, but if it's not, don't worry.  The last few days of the live feeds can be pretty dull, so you might not be missing much at the end there.   Trust that I will do all I can to keep you informed.  You can order your own SuperPass live feeds by clicking the box on the upper left corner of this website.

OK, let's get to Frank.

1.  The first thing to notice about Frank is his thick mane of curly hair.  I think I stared at it first and it took me a few minutes to see everything else.  Everything else is pretty darned attractive.  Nice facial structure, nice even choppers --a fine looking man.  I was trying to picture him with a different hair style, and then realized that his hair is part of his look, his charm.  I don't think it is going to bother me as much as Hayden Moss' hair did (BB12).  Hayden was so caveman-like.  I referred to him as Teen Wolf at times.  I must point out that Chelsia Hart said he reminded her of Carrot Top, but I can't co-sign that after spending the last hour watching and listening to him.

2.  Frank has a Southern accent that I would describe as gentle, without an aggressive drawl or redneck sound. Probably because he is originally from Arkansas, but sounds like he spent a lot of time in Florida, which can mix it up a bit.  He doesn't sound stupid, if you know what I mean.

3.  Frank is a blinker.  I'll just disclose that right now.  It's not hard to catch him blinking, either.  In fact, here you go.

4.   Frank is a Big Brother fan from way back.  He started watching Season 6 because a girlfriend suggested they watch it together, and he was hooked.  This is his third year applying for the show.  He went to an open call in Nashville and made  the finals for BB12,  went to an open call in Tampa, made the finals and was selected as an alternate for BB13.  This means he was one of the people schlepping around the Burbank Sheraton (or wherever) sequestered like the other house guests last year, but then got shipped back home when they didn't need him. This year he went to an open call in Miami and it looks like "he made it all the way to TV this year".

5.  Frank is a proud alumni of the Univ of Memphis and says "Go Tigers!"  He is from Arkansas but is living in Naples Florida now.

6.  Frank has been watching a lot of basketball lately, and mentions that he is a Knicks fan because of Amare Stoutamire, but says this summer he should root for the Lakers since he's in L.A.  Then he remembers his hometown team, the Grizzlies, and laughingly apologizes to the fans at home for that.

 7.  He uses basketball to describe his BB strategy, so he lost me there with some of the details but you can see how thrilled he is to be playing Big Brother when he talks about it.  He wants to go in the house and just "float in it" and do all of the things that Big Brother fans dream of doing.  He wants to build a "Dream Team" in the house and will let other people think they are running the alliance if he needs to.

8.  The BB players he most likes are Dan Gheesling, because he was the underdog, didn't hurt anybody's feelings, and came back and won it, killing Memphis with the final votes.  He gives Chilltown a shout out and says how much fun Dr. Will and Mike Boogie were to watch.  And Jeff and Jordan are America's Sweethearts so it is fun to watch them.

9.  Frank lists Chima as one of the house guests he couldn't stand.  She had a terrible attitude from the start and acted like she didn't want to be there.  He appreciated that Adam Poch was a Super Fan, but he didn't make any moves in the house and that was disappointing.

10.   Frank would like to improve on the "Super Fan play", mentioning how Adam fell in to a Bromance with Jeff and didn't play his own game.  He thinks there will be no returning players this year since they had them last year, so he doesn't think this will be a risk for him.  (!!)  He doesn't want to see someone whose personality he liked on TV and want to be their friend in the house--it might mess up his game.  (!!!)

11.  Frank's dad was a professional wrestler who was most recently known as Sid Vicious.  He isn't sure how much he will reveal about this in the house.  Frank doesn't want the other houseguests to think this has anything to do with his being cast on the show, or to think that he doesn't need to win the money.

12.  He does need to win the money because he's unemployed, and has been for awhile.  He thinks he is unemployed because he hasn't found a job that sparked something in him, a passion.  He doesn't know what he wants to do in life so he doesn't want to waste time with "just a job".

13.  His father started out small in wrestling, they lived in a small town so it was exciting to see his career grow and see him on TV.  Then he made a name for himself and it was a fun life to have growing up.  His dad didn't even graduate high school but did great on TV. This gives Frank confidence that he can do well on TV, but he stresses that the reason he tried out for Big Brother is that he's a Super Fan.

14.  His mother and his "Nana" are both Big Brother fans so he knows they will be watching the show, and also the "24 hour feeds".   He has a little brother who is 6 inches taller than Frank.  Frank is the short one in the family, but I think he said he is at least 6 feet tall.  He says his family is small--just his mom and his brother. (I guess his parents are divorced?  Or has his dad passed away?)

15.  He doesn't want to lose his temper in the house, because he's seen this happen on the show and he doesn't like it.  He would be surprised if he cried in the house--that is not Frank's style.  He doesn't like to see people lash out at other people on BB.

16.  He is a clean person, but a messy person. He says it is an "organized mess" and he can step over other people's mess without a problem.  But someone who doesn't clean up their own dishes will annoy him.  He also doesn't like guys who are douchebags and doesn't want to elaborate on those traits since it might offend some of the fans.

17.  He will lie and manipulate if he has too, but will still try to keep a smile on his face and be friendly.  He is aware that being likable and friendly can make him a target, though.  If he can entertain people and make them laugh, it might make people keep him around a while longer.

18.  He would like to be at least on the jury so he can decide who wins BB14.  He does not want to reward floaters, and thinks he is a big enough man to vote for someone to win who was responsible for getting him evicted if he thinks they deserve to win.

19.  Although he admires Dan Gheesling, he thinks he is more like Mike Boogie.  Mike Boogie just worked his game and didn't make too many enemies.  When asked what former house guests he might like to see in the house, he mentions Janelle, since it would be nice to see her pretty face.  (I hope the camera shows us a shot of Frank's face when the Mentors are revealed--so exciting for him!)

20.  He would not like to see someone like Evel Dick.  He doesn't feel like he can really trust him since he knows the game so well.

21.  He might play some chess in the house, and wishes they would put up a basketball net in the backyard.  He would also love to play Ping Pong since he plays at home and is pretty good at it.  He will be working out, too.  Exercise is a "cornerstone" in his life, and we can "Get Fit with Frank" this summer in the BB house if we'd like to.

22.  He doesn't want to pester people about working out or eating healthy.  That's not his style.  If they want his help or advice, they will come to him and ask for it.  He eats 3 - 4 egg whites every morning, and lots of vegetables.  He wants us to vote for some good food if he is on slop.  The foods he will miss most this summer are "a really good pizza" and sushi.

23.  Frank captures my own heart by mentioning that he is going to miss the Season 5 premiere of Breaking Bad.  (July 15th on AMC!)  It's hard for me not to be a Frank fan after hearing him say that.  He also watches Boardwalk Empire, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.  He likes to watch Big Brother After Dark, too on Showtime.

24.  His favorite movie is Ghostbusters, but also loves Blow, Garden State, The Beach and has varied tastes.  He has been reading more lately, particularly strategic books to get mentally ready for Big Brother. He mentions the Machevellian Prince (?), the Laws of Power, and the Art of War.

25.  He likes all types of music, particularly hip hop since he lived in Memphis.  He mentions Biggie Smalls and some other rapper whose name included numbers--I just couldn't get that for you.  Also old school rock like Van Halen.

26.  He thinks his hair will be okay out in LA with the low humidity, but says we will see some Bed Head that will be hilarious first thing in the morning.

27.  He predicts at least 3 HOH wins, and 5 POVS.  He would like beef jerky and almond butter in his HOH basket.  He wouldn't want to open Pandora's Box if he is in a strong spot with his Alliance, since it could hurt his game, but he doesn't want to disappoint the fans.

28.  He "doesn't really smoke" but does expect to have a few cocktails in the house this summer.

29.  He is very single ("single as a jaybird") and made sure he would be single since he is certainly open to the thought of hooking up in the Big Brother house.  He would have a showmance with a girl he could trust, and apart from that she needs to be a cute girl with a great personality and good sense of humor. Frank is partial to girl with "a big rack and a nice smile".   He thinks a showmance could trip him up, though and mess up his game.  He might be particularly vulnerable to getting attached to a lady in the house because there are no outside distractions and you are so cut off from the rest of the world.

30.  He likes the online Big Brother community and has friends who are Super Fans who tell him what is going on.  Chris Miller and his wife Jessica, and Daniel Robinson get shout outs as his friends who will be watching the show this year.

31.  He says he doesn't have the internet, nor a computer at his house right now (wow he must be poor then) but he can see the internet on his phone a little.  He got a Twitter account so he could find out when the Big Brother castings would be held two years ago.

32.  Frank tells the fans that if we are ever selected to be on Big Brother, we should be happy, and grateful for the experience.

 33.  He has been told not to talk to the cameras in the BB house too much, but he thinks he will try to address the live feeders from time-to-time.  He mentions how much the fans liked Evel Dick because he would get his morning coffee and go outside and talk to the fans while he drank it.

34.  If Frank wins he will buy a new car.  He knows that if you start spending too early,it will go too fast.  He might buy a new Avalanche truck, or a Mercedes G500 (?), then save the rest.

FEEDWATCHER FORECAST:  Yet another house guest that I really like.  Frank is someone that at first glance looked like a slacker, but after listening and watching, I am very impressed with how thoughtful and considerate he seems.   I know he wants a showmance, and I'll think he'll get one, or at least hook up a little.  I don't think he's the guy the girls will go for first, but he is the one who will hook them in with his charm, humor, and good manners.  Even unemployed, I think he will attract the ladies.

I can imagine Frank SHITTING A BRICK to be living in the house with a former Playmate of the Year.  I'm thinking Danielle the Nurse has Frank's name all over her.  Just a guess.

I love that Frank is a Super Fan who wants to play the game hard and represent us well.  I hope he isn't too dazzled by the likes of Janelle, since he pointed out that could be a risk for him.  Like he said himself in the interview, if he goes home early it is because he did something stupid.

Don't do anything stupid Frank.  We need you in there this summer.

Who Will Be Frank's Mentor?  I think they will fight over him, since he appears athletic and comes off as intelligent when he speaks for a few minutes.  I think he needs to be on Mike Boogie or Dan Gheesling's team as his best advantage.  I'm worried that he will be star struck by Janelle and that could be an issue.

***I think Frank is the first houseguest NOT to mention Rachel Reilly.  So that is a plus for originality.***

Rumor Control With...Wait..Who? #BB14

Rumor Control is a SuperPass show that usually airs about 3 times during the Big Brother Pre Season.  Along with the host, former house guests discuss their views on the official Big Brother news released by CBS, as well as selected rumors flying around the internet.  They take callers, too, but sometimes shoo them away if the questions can't be answered, or if they "can't hear" the caller.

Every year, the Rumor Control host line up creates controversy.  For example, the scheduled hosts last year were Dani Donato and Ragan Fox.  Ragan is the only host who showed up for each show.  Dani didn't show up for the last Rumor Control show and was replaced by Annie Whittington (BB12).  The excuse was Dani had computer problems, her car broke down, the dog ate her homework...whatever.  We found out later that she was in sequester, as she was cast with her dad Evel Dick as one of the Dynamic Duos.

**I think it is important to note that the show Dani missed last year was the Rumor Control show after the cast was revealed, so she missed the show where she would have discussed the new house guests with the other panelists and the fans.**

Yesterday, the hosting lineup for the 2nd Rumor Control was promoted as being Janelle and Rachel.  Here is the ad that was circulated on SuperPass previously:

So imagine my surprise and shock to tune in for yesterday's show and see this:

Big Brother and SuperPass fans will recognize Chelsia Hart (BB9).  She has been working with SuperPass as one of the faces of their Big Brother coverage for about three years now.  From what I understand, she is moving into more of a behind-the-scenes role now, although I guess we will see her from time-to-time.  The guy with her is named Laremy, and he works in Casting.  He is the guy who conducted the SuperPass newbie interviews, apparently.  He's a good co-host.  Nice speaking voice and he chimed in with some good thoughts as we will see later.  (To picture Laremy, think of The Miz, but then replace the brain with Dave Holmes the former MTV VJ.)

And yes, after teasing us, we see Rachel beaming in on camera from vacation, or whereever she said she was.  I didn't catch the reason why Janelle is absent, but I think we all know the reason why Janelle is absent, right?

OK.  Let's summarize this action-packed show.

1.  They did not discuss the early ouster of Newbie Mike, the Sailing Instructor.  (You can read what little I know about that here.)

2.  Instead, they focused on Mike's replacement, Joe Arvin.  (I wrote a little about Joe here.) You should know that they cast a few replacement house guests every year, who have to be sequestered like everybody else.  So Joe was just chillin' at the Sheraton (or whereever) like every body else, except he wasn't sure he'd be on the show.  Sucks for him but if the room service is halfway decent I guess it would be a good story to tell later.

3.  Personally, I kind of like the idea of Joe sitting around at the motel in his skivvies watching the same sad Spectravision movie choices in sequester one moment, and then Getting the Call to head on over to the Big Brother house the next moment.  The story would be even better if he won, wouldn't it?  He has as good a chance as anyone else at this point.

4.  They showed one of Joe's You Tube cooking videos, and what they showed was alarming to me.  It was him being really nutty and very loud.  My research has proved that this is not all Joe has to offer, thank god.  Here is a still from what they showed.  Maybe it wasn't as bad as I remembered it, but I was shocked to hear him screech and carry on.  This one was filmed in what looks like Joe's home kitchen, but the video I posted in the link in #2 above looks like it was filmed in his restaurant.  Maybe at home he can do crack.  I don't know...I hope he is a little calmer in the BB14 house.

4.  As far as Rachel goes, she was indeed Skyping in live from somewhere. This was not a taped appearance as she interacted directly with the hosts and callers.  She apparently did her Big Brother homework by watching all of the SuperPass interviews and had some opinions about each house guest.  This is why I don't think she will be a mentor, because she had the benefit of hearing information from Laremy that you wouldn't know if you just watched the videos.  Let's put it this way, hearing what Laremy said about a few of them changed my opinions a little, as I will soon discuss.

5.  I haven't had the chance to watch and recap each SuperPass interview, but I'm working on it and hope to cover them all by the end of the weekend.   Sorry.  Unfortunately my real job and life get in the way of my Big Brother addiction sometimes.

6.  Laremy and Chelsia seem to think there are some twists involved with the casting of the newbies.  The fact that there is a Pennsylvania connection with some of them has them concerned, as well as the fact that several of them are Southern.  Personally I think they are just putting that out there at the request of Production, to make it seem like they know something that Missyae doesn't, but I guess we can consider it.

7.  Like the tattoos-----they think that Jojo Spatafora and Jenn Arroyo must be connected somehow, since they both have Faith and Hope tattoos and both said they want to look at them every day for inspiration.  Jenn's tattoos of this are on her chest, while JoJo's are on her wrists.  (?)  And I guess they both have nautical star tattoos?   Jenn's body is One Big Tattoo, if you ask me, so I don't know if we can draw conclusions from that.  I did notice that both of these ladies have a little stud piercing on the left side of their upper lip.  You can read my recaps of JoJo Spatafora and Jenn Arroyo here and here, if you like.  I have pictures of some of their tattoos included with the recap.

8.  Laremy told us that Jenn was cast off Facebook, and she apparently is not much of a Big Brother fan. At least to this point in life.  This is a little upsetting to me, since I think Jenn is a star and wanted her to do well on the show.  I think it helps to know the game, and be aware of the potential pitfalls and methods of success.  Also to be familiar with some of the games and challenges, since they often repeat them from year to year.  Chelsia said her band Kitty was a pretty big deal back in the day.  Can anyone vouch for that, or has anybody seen Kitty play live?

9.  JoJo originally told the Producers that she was a bartender, and that is how she was portrayed in the BB commercial that aired on July 4th.  But during her interview with Laremy, she switched it up, saying she was a "promotional model".  Hmmm.  Wonder what that means?  In my recap of her interview I said she was defensive about being a promotional model, but maybe this is why.  I guess Laremy was looking at his notes and trying to figure out if he had the right JoJo.  (Did you know last year Kalia was a bartender?  I didn't either, and neither did the house guests until they got down to the final five. She ended up comparing notes on the live feeds with Rachel and Porsche, who have both been cocktail waitresses.  I thought it was strange how no one called her out on that---she had been saying she was a writer....whatever.  You can read my live feed update about Kalia's disclosure last year here.)

10.  Kara Monaco brought up a lively discussion among the Rumor Control panel.  Rachel thinks it is impossible for Kara to conceal the fact that she was 2006 Playmate of the Year.  (Kara said she wanted to hide it--you can read that info here.  I haven't watched Kara's SuperPass interview yet but I plan to.)  Rachel pointed out that since JoJo is a model, she probably wants to be in Playboy so she knows who the Playmates are, particularly since Playmate of the Year since it is such a huge deal.  (Rachel gives the details about winning a car, and $100,000, which sounds kind of puny, doesn't it?  Wasn't it $100,000 20 years ago?)  They mention how high profile Kara is...I had no idea since I don't read Playboy or even know anybody that does (openly, anyway).  Laremy brings up that she is good friends with Sarah Jean Underwood, who apparently is a BFD whose career is blowing up.  I've never heard of Sarah before now, and she was the 2007 Playmate of the Year, as mentioned below.
Wowza, huh?  I guess those two bitches get a lot of free drinks when they go out, at least.  So the Rumor Control panel felt that the guys will recognize Kara Monaco, and probably some of the girls.  That is why the house guests should never lie about basic info like this---once people find out they will not trust you and your ass is gone.  Also, Laremy mentioned that all of her answers during the interview were one word answers (probably one syllable, too)--indicating she didn't have much to say.  So maybe she's not a Big Brother fan, after all.

But does anyone think Kara will ever be "a loser"?  Nah.  She'll just be the chick voted off Big Brother first.  Then she'll go home and book a bazillion jobs and appearances and hang out by the pool with schmokin' hotties like her friend Sarah Jean.  Nice life.

11.  The Rumor Control panel basically laughed their asses off when discussing Shane Meany.  They apparently found him as douchey as I did.  You can read my (sort of) recap here. They were pretty vicious about his puka shells, too.  Even Rachel chortled that she wore puka shells, like, in high school.
So good luck Shane. I think you're going to need it.  FYI Shane's full SuperPass interview has now been posted back on the website.  I'll put that on my list of things to do, somewhere after alphabetizing my spice shelf in the pantry.

12.  Frank Eudy was a lively topic, too.  I just watched his SuperPass video and am working on recapping it, after hearing what the panel had to say about him.  Frank is a "blinker" who is a huge Big Brother fan.  Rachel said she thinks he is better looking than Shane.  I will save that for my recap of his interview, but I know what Rachel means.  Laremy expected Frank to talk more about his dad, who is wrestler Sid Vicious.  Well, I don't know who that is, either, so I did some sleuthing.

Good lord!  Frank's dad is 6'9", and is also known as Lord Humongous!  I like that Sid Eudy is from "whereever he damn well pleases".  Big Brother fans will like Frank, I predict.  But more on him later.

13.  They discussed Jodi Rollins and kind of moved right along.  I hate to say that Jodi looks just like Kalia, because I think that might seem racist, but she does sort of look just like Kalia.  I haven't recapped her interview yet, but Laremy mentioned that she is a bona fide Big Brother fan and glossed over the fact that she was married a few months ago and has 5 stepsons!  Wow.  No wonder she wanted to get out of the house this summer.

14.  Laremy's dicussion of Ian Terry broke my heart a little.  You might know I find Ian adorable and wanted him to go very far.  You can read my Ian recap here.  Laremy said that although Ian said he reads all sorts of Big Brother fan sites and message boards, he is mainly just a lurker and is not comfortable posting or taking a stand on the topics.  I will concede that the Big Brother fans can be downright despicable about their likes and dislikes, and many of them seem to have no couth, as we say in the South.  At least 18% of them operate like they don't know any real people or have real friends.  As a matter of fact, the rudeness of the "fans" is the primary reason I stopped writing for one of the big Big Brother websites a few years ago.  Reporting the facts isn't good enough for those people--they need to back away from the computer and get some fresh air and probably a good brisk slap in the face.

So I understand Ian being a lurker and all, but how can you be a Big Brother gamer if you are scared to mix it up on a message board?   I really don't want Ian to turn out like Adam Poch (BB13).  In life as well as the Big Brother game.  Rachel loves Ian and says she wants to put him in her pocket and protect him.  Laremy added that Ian is "like 5'3" and 85 pounds".  That's not good.  It is bad enough to be a nerd, but a short nerd?  Chelsia and Rachel think he will do great in the endurance challenges, and the big guys won't worry about him, so that's good.  But I'm worried.  Ian better step it up.  This ain't Joker's Updates, Ian.

15.  They discussed Danielle Murphree, but I don't remember them saying too much about her.  You can read my recap of Danielle's interview here.  Laremy did say that she was very tall and willowy and beautiful.  He thought she would hook up with Shane Meany (love his name, by the way) but Rachel disagreed and thought Frank would win Danielle's TV heart.

16.  The also discussed Wil Heuser and are all looking forward to seeing him in action.  Rachel and Chelsia felt that his acting skills will help him in the house since he can be whoever the other house guests need him to be.  Rachel has seen some of Wil's videos and she loves him.  I do think he will be fun to have in the house, and that will help his game.  I haven't recapped Wil's SuperPass interview yet, but I did do an early informational post about him that you can see here.  It's enough to understand what Rachel is crowing about...Chelsia covets Wil's handsome eyebrows and they all agree he is a beautiful man.

17.  Willie Hantz -- Laremy said the fact that Willie's brother Russell was on Survivor didn't come up in conversation until later in the interview, and he was frantically shuffling through his notes, wondering why this wasn't included Willie's dossier. The entire panel agreed that the Reality Superfans on the cast (Ian, Frank, Jodi, etc) will easily figure out who Willie's family is and he will be a goner.  Chelsia thinks Willie will have the biggest uphill battle on the cast.  I wonder if Production will intervene and help Willie out somehow?  I will get to Willie's SuperPass interview at some point, but in the meantime I've talked about him and found the "lost video" here and here.

18.  That brings us to Ashley Iocco, whom I've not had the pleasure of scrutinizing yet.  But after hearing this, I will.  Apparently Ashley has developed a "Snow White" strategy where she will have Seven Dwarfs following her around the Big Brother 14 house, whom she will eventually kill. Yes you read that correctly.  (FYI One of my best friends was Snow White in a Disney parade and taught me the Snow White wave.) Ashley owns her own business --  I'm guessing she will get A LOT of press that will build traffic and revenue this year.  It's a mobile spray tanning business, so she's just in time for summer.  Laremy wondered whether this is an act---he saw a couple of flashes of intelligence or something else that led him to believe this act may not be for real.  Chelsia vouches for Ashley's business---it must be real because Chelsia saw the website.  Ha ha ha.

So...having read all that, don't you think it wouldn't be fair for Rachel to be a mentor?  Not only has she spent time in the new Big Brother house during Media Day, but now she has some inside information that would give her an unfair advantage in choosing her team.  Missyae says this today about how the Mentors will pick teams.

This process is going down today Saturday July 7th.  So I don't think Rachel can be a Mentor.  Sorry all you Brenchal fans.

I'm thinking Dani Donato is a viable contender here.  Remember what I said at the beginning of this post, like two hours ago?  Last year she missed the Rumor Control episode where they discussed the house guests, and then ended up on Big Brother 13.  The same thing could happen this year.  Remember that Alison Grodner LOVES Dani Donato, and you could view her as a villain, since she dared go up against Jeff and Jordan, aka America's Sweethearts.   And of course Dani is a big fan favorite, myself included.  Janelle describes Dani as a personal friend, so I don't know how or if that would impact anything.

If not Dani Donato, maybe Danielle Reyes (BB3), or Natalie Martinez (BB11)?  They were both villains.  And no one is discussing her, but let's not forget Alison Irwin (BB4 and BB7).  You can't get more despicable and competitive than Alison.

Talk about loving to hate someone---Natalie and Alison would fit that bill perfectly.

If you're not excited about Big Brother 14 yet, I'm a little worried about you, let's put it that way.

Newbie Preview - Meet Joe Arvin, Lucky Bastard #BB14

I just want to say a few words about Joe Arvin.  You probably know that one of the Big Brother 14 Newbies was replaced at the last minute with Joe.  As a matter of fact, the new Big Brother commercial featuring Mike aired on July 4th, and by July 5th Mike was gonzo.  You can see Mike here, probably for the last time.

I have a vivid imagination, and I like to speculate that something crazy happened to Mike, like maybe an FBI Agent saw Mike on the commercial and recognized him as a suspected bank robber, or something like that.

But more likely, Mike asked for a DOR  (Dismiss on Request, if you haven't seen Officer and a Gentleman lately), or maybe they found contraband in his bag.  Maybe he just tried to call home.  Who knows.  In past years one male contestant was disqualified for trying to contact his girlfriend from sequester, and two years ago a woman dropped out sometime after her SuperPass interview.  Evel Dick later said that Chelsia scared the lady by asking her questions that scared her about the live feeders.  You know, something like, "are you prepared to have thousands of internet junkies watch you get in and out of the shower?"

That lady packed up her shit and got the hell out of there.  Or so the story goes...

I asked Missyae @TheGameSurvivor if he had any scoop on this situation, and he confirmed that there was no Big News to speak of.

Let's face it.  Mike looked really boring, and could barely muster an adequate energy level on that commercial.  If he can't put on a show in front of a green screen, how is he going to be able to speak about anything in the Diary Room in a remotely-entertaining manner?  (Lane from BB12, anyone?)

So, on to Joe Arvin, who is the lucky bastard plucked out of sequester to take Mike's place.  Joe seems like an interesting character.  As I suspected, Joe is a chef.  He was actually one of the founders of Smashmouth Burger.  Don't get it twisted though...not Smash Burger, Smashmouth Burger.  You know the one on the corner of Route 30 and BFE in Indiana.

I read somewhere that Joe recently sold out of Smashmouth Burger, with the intent to be a Reality TV Star.  That could be good news for us, or bad news.  Hopefully he is a Big Brother fan and will know how to play this game, as well as how to put on a good show for the live feeds.  But if he is just another Reality Show Whore, we may be in for a disappointment.  I still think he's better than a Sailing Instructor though, because there is no lake in the Big Brother backyard.  But there is a kitchen, and hopefully Joe will set up camp in there.

There are a number of YouTube videos of Joe out there, but I found a good one that highlights some of his best work on the various how-to cooking spots he has filmed.  If you can get through the somewhat corny-but-clever intro, I think you can get a good feel for who Joe is.  He is passionate about food, and his food seems designed to appear to Joe America.

He looks married to me.  I didn't catch whether he was wearing a ring or not, but he has that Married Look.  (Of course, the article above says that too, and there are kids involved.)  I am guessing he has been divorced before, too.  You can't work in a restaurant kitchen with a personality like that and not have a few torrid affairs.  (In fact, I may or may not have made out with someone in the frigid salad bar cooler at a steakhouse where I worked in high school.  I mean, "allegedly.")

Let's have a look see at Joe:

After seeing this, I like Joe.  I might even have a little crush on Joe.  Even though I am about one year away from being totally vegan, I like the look of Joe's crunchy chicken fingers.  And that big sloppy panini sandwich he cooked up?  You know, the one just oozing with fatty cheese?

Yeah, I could get used to that, I guess.

FEEDWATCHER FORECAST:  If Joe can tone it down a little with the Big Personality, he might do well on the show.  I can see him fitting right in with the guys who are going to work out in the backyard, and if he can stay long enough for the unveiling of the Big Brother Grill in the backyard, he can win some fans in the house with that.  (Why do they have to wait so long to have a backyard grill every year?  Just give them the damn grill now, Alison.)  I would have liked to see Joe speak to us, the fans, through an interview first, but I can say I like him.  I think he should be honest about being a chef, obviously, but he doesn't have to tell them he used to own a restaurant.  In fact, I think he should say he lost his life savings when the business failed due to the bad economy.  Something like that.   That way he could tell them some good (true) stories about his adventures behind the grill, and feel free to seduce them with his delicious fatty comfort foods.

I would enjoy sitting on one of those counter stools in the Big Brother kitchen and watch him work.

Who Will Be Joe's Mentor?  I think Mike Boogie will make a play for Joe, if he knows Joe is a chef.  Also, he seems like a Man's Man, so Dan would like him too.

Hungry for more?  Well here is the current menu at Smashmouth Burger, but if what I read is correct Joe can't be blamed for those high-calorie treats anymore if he did indeed sell out his ownership shares.  Fried PB&J?  I might have to make an Indiana road trip...

So, Is Rachel In? Or Is She Out? CBS Makes Us Squirm. #BB14

You can't blame Alison Grodner Productions and CBS for trying to generate a little confusion here in the home stretch of the Big Brother 14 Pre Season frenzy.

After all, their big twist was spoiled way back in June by our trustee tweeter Missyae @TheGameSurvivor.

Instead of everybody denying the Mentor Twist rumors, the Powers-That-Be are now implicitly acknowledging them, although they are certainly not giving credit where credit is due.  (You can read about that here.)

The Big Drama now involves the 4th Mentor---is it still projected to be Rachel?  They are doing their best to make us think it is not Rachel, and have floated rumors about Fan Favorite Britney Haynes (BB12) returning to the house this summer to lead a flock of house guests instead of Rachel.

But is Britney a villain?  That's the question I keep asking myself.  Yes we would love to see Britney on Big Brother again, but I'm thinking they will save her for All Stars.  They need a female villain to round out their cast of Mentors.  And there are only so many of those in the Big Brother arsenal, right?   For this reason I still think we may see Rachel, but Dani Donato is a possibility, too.

The hosting line up for yesterday's Rumor Control SuperPass show threw everything off kilter, too.  But did they do that on purpose?  That Alison Grodner is one crafty beeotch.  I'll give her that.  For example, Dani didn't show up for her Rumor Control gig yesterday.  But more on that later.

Missyae has been inundated with tweets from the Big Brother fans. I think he is burning out from answering some of the same questions over and over and over...

But then, this info.  Is it possible that the CBS Fan Favorite polls are rigged?  Missyae says it's not just possible, it's a fact.  I think he is referring to Crazy James below (***shudder***) who won the Fan Favorite award after BB9.  No, not the AVN award, smartass, the $25,000 prize that is awarded in the final seconds of the Big Brother Finale broadcast every year.

At this rate, Alison Grodner is going to cross Missyae off her Christmas card list.  No CBS fruitcake for you, Missyae!
